Sand truck crushes two vehicles on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A truck bearing sand to an unknown destination on Tuesday toppled over and landed on two vehicles on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The multiple accident involving the truck, Toyota Sienna bus and Volkswagen bus occurred at an intersection at Warewa, at the end of the Long Bridge on the outward Lagos side of the busy highway.
No life was reportedly lost in the crash but the buses were badly damaged.
The cause of the crash could not be immediately ascertained but it led to a gridlock on the outward Lagos side of the expressway.
Police and traffic officials deployed in the scene swiftly and managed to control the gridlock.
